Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end migration of on-premises and hybrid network environments to AWS.
- Design multi-account VPC architectures, subnet segmentation, routing, NAT, internet gateways, load balancing, and Transit Gateway connectivity.
- Implement hybrid connectivity using Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, and BGP routing.
- Plan migration risks, rollback procedures, phased cutovers, and post-migration cost, latency, and availability optimization.
- Define enterprise security and governance controls using Security Groups, NACLs, AWS Network Firewall, third-party firewalls, SCPs, and IAM boundaries.
- Design and operate production-grade Amazon EKS clusters, including multi-cluster strategies, cluster networking, autoscaling, node lifecycle, capacity planning, IRSA, upgrades, and patching.
- Support application teams migrating workloads to Kubernetes and implement ingress, services, network policies, DNS, and resilience patterns.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and implement GitOps, CI/CD, policy-as-code, and scripting automation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience is stated in the project requirements, with the detailed qualifications specifying 6–9 years in AWS infrastructure, networking, and cloud migrations.
- Strong expertise in AWS VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, BGP, routing, firewalls, and network segmentation.
- Deep production experience with Amazon EKS, including cluster design, scaling, networking optimization, and Kubernetes networking internals.
- Strong Terraform expertise, including module design and remote state management.
- Experience implementing GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Scripting experience with Python or Go.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Completion of 15 years of full-time education is required.
