Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software applications and core product or platform components.
- Build backend services, APIs, REST APIs, and database solutions using the team’s technology stack.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, estimation, design discussions, code reviews, and Agile delivery activities.
- Investigate and resolve application issues in lower environments and production while following runbooks and escalation paths.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive improvements, including considerations for security, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with product owners, QA, support, implementation teams, and other engineering functions.
- Communicate progress, risks, and blockers and learn engineering practices from senior and lead engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core, C#, Angular, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, and SQL Server.
- Experience with C#/.NET backend services and APIs, MS SQL Server or an equivalent relational database, and query-tuning basics.
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON; familiarity with IIS and ASP.NET is a plus.
- Familiarity with Git, code reviews, unit testing frameworks, test-driven practices, and Agile/Scrum.
- Cloud exposure, Docker, Kubernetes, observability, performance tuning, and experience with AI tools such as Cursor AI are nice to have.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
