Base Salary
$152k - $204k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set engineering standards, review code, and guide design decisions for quality and maintainability.
- Maintain expertise in core accounting systems and their upstream and downstream integrations.
- Drive performance, resiliency, and scalability for high-volume, mission-critical applications.
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver cross-team solutions.
- Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap planning, and adoption of emerging technologies.
- Coach engineers on advanced technical topics and foster continuous learning.
- Research and promote modern architecture patterns, cloud-native practices, and automation strategies.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex, cross-functional incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated leadership designing and delivering large-scale, fault-tolerant systems.
- Expertise in Java, Spring, and RESTful API design.
- Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming models and distributed systems using Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EKS, SQS, RDS, and MSK.
- Proficiency with CI/CD practices, testing, and code quality.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence decisions across teams.
- Passion for mentoring and collaborating in diverse environments.
- Preferred: experience with financial or accounting systems and SAP integrations.
- Preferred: knowledge of observability tools and performance tuning for high-throughput applications.
- Preferred: familiarity with enterprise security and compliance standards.
