Responsibilities
- Own REST API infrastructure, including versioned specifications, engineering workflows, process automation, and API SDK productization.
- Architect, build, and optimize high-throughput Java and Spring middleware unifying FlashArray and FlashBlade platforms.
- Support features across API design, CLI/GUI integration, debugging, refactoring, and release deployment.
- Modernize legacy codebases, improve scalability and performance under high load, and use AI tools to automate routine development tasks.
- Mentor engineering teams, establish code-quality standards, host office hours, and provide technical consultation across the Java ecosystem.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in core Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and jOOQ.
- Proven experience designing, building, and troubleshooting complex backend applications.
- Experience leading and delivering mid-to-large backend engineering projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong RESTful API, CLI, middleware, data structures, concurrency, and system design fundamentals.
- Willingness to work across languages such as Python, Go, or C++.
- Practical understanding or exposure to cloud-native paradigms, container orchestration tools, or Linux system internals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for mentoring engineers and coordinating technical dependencies across global teams.
