Base Salary
$167k - $216k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the architectural roadmap for the Simulation Scenario Definition platform and its TypeScript/Python SDK.
- Lead the design and implementation of graphical editing tools for complex traffic, environment, and sensor scenarios.
- Evolve Python infrastructure and core algorithms for scenario serialization and validation.
- Integrate simulation infrastructure with a large-scale cloud compute cluster.
- Lead technical architecture and complex multi-quarter projects from concept through production.
- Establish engineering standards for API design, code quality, and testing.
- Mentor and coach mid-level and senior engineers.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software-development experience, including substantial work on large-scale platforms, tooling, or SDKs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical architecture and deliver complex multi-quarter projects.
- Strong front-end engineering experience with TypeScript for sophisticated graphical applications.
- Expert Python proficiency, including performance optimization and development of robust APIs and SDKs for external consumers.
- Experience mentoring and coaching mid-level and senior engineers and raising code-quality standards.
- Preferred experience with 3D graphics, computational geometry, real-time simulation, DSLs, high-level scripting languages, game engines, simulation software, data visualization, autonomous-vehicle technology, robotics, or safety-critical systems.
