Base Salary
$180k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with marketing subject-matter experts across campaigns, property marketing, content, social, ABM, and performance intelligence to design and ship production agents.
- Build, deploy, operate, and improve AI agents that draft content, configure campaigns, monitor performance, and recommend optimizations using marketing context and business data.
- Design and grow a reusable Marketing Domain Skills Library of composable LLM workflows for drafting, scoring, classification, and brand-voice tuning.
- Build integrations with CMS, DAM, CRM, marketing automation, advertising, and analytics systems, including through Marketing MCP servers when available.
- Translate integration and capability gaps into prioritized requirements for the marketing platform team.
- Own production reliability, observability, evaluation, factual grounding, regression suites, offline benchmarks, and cost efficiency for LLM workflows.
- Design multi-agent orchestration patterns, boundaries, escalations, and handoffs across campaign, social, ABM, content, property, and performance agents.
- Set technical standards and playbooks for progressing from SME conversations to pilots and deployed production agents.
- Represent MarTech Engineering with leadership, customers, and the broader engineering community, and publish technical learnings through internal and external channels.
- Drive experimentation, innovation, and technical quality for agent systems operating at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production systems, including significant experience integrating enterprise APIs.
- Hands-on experience with modern LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool use or function calling, structured outputs, and context engineering.
- Experience designing agent systems involving multi-step reasoning, tool orchestration, memory, error recovery, and human-in-the-loop escalation.
- Practical experience addressing hallucination grounding, tool reliability, silent failures, evaluation quality, cost and latency tradeoffs, prompt drift, and long-term production behavior.
- Experience building RAG systems with embeddings, vector stores, retrieval optimization, and grounding.
- Experience deploying and operating LLM-powered services or agents in production cloud environments, including authentication, networking, secrets, observability, rollback, and cost monitoring.
- Ability to embed with non-technical domain experts, translate ambiguous problems into shippable scope, and make pragmatic build-versus-workaround decisions.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, including marketing SMEs, leadership, and platform engineers.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, ownership, collaboration, learning, and problem-solving skills in distributed, product-focused teams.
- Professional proficiency in written and verbal English.
