Responsibilities
- Own major product features end to end, from design through deployment, with emphasis on quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Lead system design and architecture discussions for complex, multi-component projects.
- Write and review code, champion engineering best practices, and drive technical excellence.
- Mentor and guide engineers across experience levels.
- Collaborate with Product and Design on priorities, requirements, and dependencies.
- Lead tooling, process, and technology improvements while staying current with emerging technologies.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least two years leading backend or full-stack projects.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering complex, multi-component systems.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, trade-offs, scalability, performance, microservices, and distributed-system patterns.
- Strong backend engineering experience and interest in backend and platform development.
- Professional experience with Python and/or Go is welcomed but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative cross-functional approach.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
