Base Salary
$154k - $278k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead software architecture updates and evolve C-UAS tactical software baselines.
- Build and demonstrate rapid prototypes and proof-of-concept capabilities for government evaluators.
- Develop encrypted and authenticated tactical communications, including secure data transmission.
- Design zero-trust gateways, encrypted remote sessions, and VPN-based remote access solutions.
- Integrate software with Army-authorized cloud environments and develop low-latency data transfer.
- Profile and tune software for near-real-time, jitter-optimized performance in contested environments.
- Build centralized and distributed command-and-control management capabilities.
- Integrate and test prototypes in simulated contested environments.
- Support secure coding, software assurance, cybersecurity activities, and ATO documentation.
- Brief government stakeholders and provide strong technical documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant experience.
- Senior-level development expertise in C, C++, Python, or Java for tactical or embedded systems.
- Current Secret clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Experience leading prototype development and iterative build-test cycles.
- Experience designing or modifying complex tactical or networked software architectures.
- Hands-on experience with secure communications, encryption, MFA, and access control.
- Expertise with VPN or zero-trust remote access, secure gateways, and encrypted sessions.
- Experience engineering low-latency, jitter-optimized software for degraded, intermittent, or limited environments.
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity, secure coding, and RMF/ATO processes.
- Preferred experience with C-UAS, SHORAD, LIDS, fielded tactical defense software, edge/cloud architectures, rapid capability demonstrations, DoD crypto standards, DevSecOps, containerized environments, and DoD technical leadership.
- AWS or Azure GovCloud certifications are preferred.
