Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of major features and system improvements across the PET product suite.
- Own complex cross-cutting engineering problems from investigation through production.
- Deliver production-grade full-stack code and lead architecture and code reviews.
- Champion testing, observability, CI/CD, operational readiness, and targeted technical debt reduction.
- Provide expert guidance on production incidents and complex engineering challenges.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on pairing.
- Contribute to hiring and technical bar-setting.
- Partner with Product Management on roadmap planning and communicate complex technical topics to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience delivering complex, production-grade systems at scale.
- Strong hands-on expertise in one or more of Python, TypeScript/Angular, RDBMS, or AWS.
- Proven ability to lead technical design and architecture across multi-component systems.
- Strong code quality discipline, testing culture, and operational best practices.
- Clear communication skills with both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred: experience with mixed-technology stacks spanning web, desktop, and backend services, including legacy modernization.
- Preferred: experience in compliance-aware environments such as SOC-aligned environments and in building for reliability and observability.
- Preferred: experience working across distributed or global engineering teams.
