Responsibilities
- Own web performance end-to-end, focusing on load times and rendering efficiency.
- Set the technical direction for performance architecture and standards.
- Optimize the critical rendering path by eliminating bottlenecks.
- Drive caching and CDN strategy to minimize latency and maximize cache hit rates.
- Build performance observability with real user monitoring and testing.
- Establish performance benchmarks and standards across the engineering team.
Requirements
- Deep experience in web performance engineering at significant scale.
- Strong expertise in rendering, caching, CDN configuration, and Core Web Vitals.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with knowledge of browser engines and network layers.
- Experience with real user monitoring and synthetic performance testing.
- A rigorous, measurement-driven approach to performance issues.
- Technical leadership experience influencing engineering teams.
