Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact and owner for strategic customer accounts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer use cases, architectures, teams, processes, and business goals.
  • Lead technical issue resolution and work with the support organization to deliver timely solutions.
  • Provide primary hands-on effort to resolve issues within assigned accounts when capacity allows.
  • Drive product adoption by identifying new customer use cases and opportunities for additional value.
  • Advise customers on best practices for using Solo.io products in their environments.
  • Develop and deliver customer training sessions and workshops.
  • Represent customer needs and feedback to Solo.io product management and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with account teams to manage risks and opportunities related to adoption, renewal, and expansion.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, or Senior Support Engineer.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies, including Kubernetes, service mesh technologies such as Istio, and API gateways such as Envoy.
  • Experience in a post-sales role focused on customer success and adoption.
  • Proven ability to manage technical relationships with large, strategic customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Experience with Go, Python, or Bash is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
