Responsibilities
- Resolve complex customer issues involving USRP hardware and Open Source UHD software for SDR applications.
- Manage escalations across global regions and coordinate critical issues with R&D, developers, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical consulting, including upgrade assistance, code reviews, and project onboarding.
- Deliver advanced or customized training to customers and other Technical Support Engineers.
- Document technical knowledge, improve knowledge-base content, and identify content gaps.
- Partner with Sales, Services Engineering, Support Operations, and R&D on account strategies, support plans, documentation, and product improvements.
- Advocate for customer experience and provide feedback on USRP hardware, UHD software, reliability, maintenance, and product roadmap needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering or Computer Science required; preferred fields include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- At least 5 years of work experience in a customer-facing technical role or relevant industry experience.
- Advanced knowledge of USRP, SDR, and Open Source UHD software resources related to Ettus and NI USRP hardware and software.
- Experience troubleshooting customer issues, owning internal escalations, and prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Ability to provide advanced training to internal or external customers on NI products.
- Willingness to work with aerospace and defense customers and travel up to 20% of the time.
- Strong technical communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and scope/risk assessment skills.
- Familiarity with the NI software and hardware portfolio is preferred.
- NI certifications such as CLA, CTD, CTA, or CLED are highly preferred.
- Experience coaching or mentoring others through formal or informal leadership roles is preferred.
