Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
- Design and propose tailored infrastructure, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services solutions.
- Build technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners and maintain current product knowledge.
- Provide product training and technical education to sales teams and customers.
- Serve as a trusted IT advisor while partnering with Field Account Executives.
- Manage the solution practice pipeline, develop strategies for top prospects, and acquire new business.
- Identify technology opportunities and engage with CIOs, IT directors, CTOs, and other client contacts.
- Educate sales teams on technical selling, products, services, and technology trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience is required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Experience with complex data center sales opportunities and designing hybrid cloud and data center infrastructures is required.
- Intermediate knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation is required.
- Intermediate expertise with Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix is required.
- Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and related solutions is required.
- Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.
- Advanced certification in technologies such as Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix is preferred.
