Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for product system design, operation, usability, and testability, with a focus on visibility fabric products.
- Develop and improve overall functional and system testing approaches and strategies with cross-functional teams.
- Design, develop, and fully automate functional, usability, performance, scaling, and stress testing suites.
- Deliver test automation code and improve automation coverage.
- Validate scalable and fault-tolerant systems, including software upgrades, distributed control, and redundancy.
- Identify and promote opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
- Create test beds for customer-use-case, scalability, and performance testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on quality, development, or automation experience in virtualization and networking.
- Extensive test automation and scripting experience using Python or another scripting language.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools including Robot and Cypress.
- Experience testing UI/UX performance and usability, systems, QA processes, and highly scalable fault-tolerant systems.
- Knowledge of network management concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6, NAT, and DNS.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, and REST services, with hands-on testing experience.
- Experience validating deliverables in enterprise, datacenter, public-cloud, or private-cloud environments such as VMware, OpenStack, and AWS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a focus on delivering quality products.
