Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and evolve scalable, user-centric frontend systems and interfaces.
- Define frontend standards through reusable components, shared patterns, and a cohesive design system.
- Own complex frontend projects from technical design and implementation through deployment, iteration, and long-term reliability.
- Enable rapid experimentation and data-driven iteration through frontend frameworks and feature-delivery infrastructure.
- Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering to translate business and customer needs into high-quality user experiences.
- Improve performance, accessibility, reliability, and security across frontend work.
- Contribute to engineering culture through mentorship, code reviews, and technical leadership.
- Use AI tools such as Devin and Cursor to enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Angular and TypeScript, including frontend architectural decision-making at scale.
- Experience writing unit tests and working with Jest and version control.
- Experience delivering large-scale, production-critical frontend systems.
- Experience driving cross-team or organization-level initiatives such as design systems, platform modernization, or performance improvement programs.
- Strong command of frontend architecture, performance tradeoffs, and scalability challenges.
- Ability to integrate complex systems via APIs and reason about data flow across the stack.
- Exceptional debugging skills across browser tooling, performance profiling, and production environments.
- Demonstrated ownership of codebase health, system reliability, and engineering standards.
- Ability to work independently, resolve ambiguity, and structure open-ended problems.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization, accessibility including WCAG, and responsive design.
- Fluency in modern engineering practices including code reviews, CI/CD, and instrumentation for analytics and experimentation.
- Strong communication skills and experience influencing technical decisions across teams and functions.
- Exposure to React or Vue is preferred.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience is required.
