Responsibilities
- Build and refine application infrastructure that reduces technical bottlenecks, lowers developer maintenance overhead, and accelerates business innovation.
- Solve complex, organization-wide high-scale challenges involving reactive programming, Temporal, vector databases, distributed systems, and gateway solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and guide long-term architecture decisions for scalability, efficiency, and global resilience.
- Develop systems supporting global API gateway traffic, routing infrastructure, search, notifications, and workflow automation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on mission-critical technology platform systems.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Go, Rust, Lua, or Python and their corresponding frameworks.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Aliyun and infrastructure tools including Kubernetes, Docker, and Istio.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and logical replication, including performance, scalability, and data consistency in distributed systems.
- Strong familiarity with NGINX, OpenResty, Envoy, APISIX, Kong, and Istio for traffic routing, load balancing, and API gateway management.
- Deep experience with API lifecycle management and API security practices covering authentication, authorization, and threat mitigation.
- Bonus: experience with API Gateway performance tuning and CPU flame graphs.
- Bonus: experience managing Kubernetes pod traffic with Istio and implementing routing, load balancing, and resilience strategies.
- Bonus: experience mitigating DDoS attacks and SQL injection and implementing mTLS and DLP.
- Bonus: ability to evaluate and adopt open-source technologies and other emerging technologies.
