Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and evolution of the platform infrastructure.
- Design, build, maintain, and operate reliable platform systems and services on GCP.
- Develop production services in Go and implement OAuth 2.0 authentication flows and integrations.
- Use Temporal for workflow orchestration and Kubernetes for production workloads.
- Design and manage cloud networking infrastructure, including VPC, Cloud IPsec, and KMS.
- Design and operate production database systems with Cloud SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Own and improve platform CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, monitoring, and alerting practices.
- Troubleshoot production systems, handle incidents, participate in the on-call rotation, and drive technical outcomes.
- Act as a technical lead for complex platform and infrastructure problems and make architectural decisions from design through operation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, mentor engineers, and establish strong engineering standards and practices.
Requirements
- Significant hands-on experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering.
- Strong production-service development experience with Go.
- Hands-on experience with Temporal, Kubernetes, GCP, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 and the ability to implement authentication flows in Go.
- Experience with VPC, Cloud IPsec, KMS, Cloud SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and alerting for production systems.
- Strong experience operating and troubleshooting production systems.
- Experience as a technical lead or engineering leader with the ability to provide technical direction and make architectural decisions.
- Ability to remain hands-on, own production systems, participate in on-call, communicate decisions clearly, and mentor engineers.
- Experience in fintech, banking, payments, financial technology, or highly regulated and security-conscious environments is preferred.
