Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy applications that satisfy business and functional requirements.
- Design and implement Java microservices using streaming, non-blocking, and reactive programming techniques.
- Build and maintain scalable services with Kafka, IBM MQ, Kubernetes, Redis, MSK, and AWS.
- Support domain-driven design, architectural discussions, API design, and evaluation of design patterns.
- Produce technical documentation including service APIs using Swagger.
- Implement logging, auditability, security, monitoring, and scalability validation for services.
- Write test cases using TDD/BDD approaches and participate in code reviews.
- Promote enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering, secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reusable engineering patterns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Formal training and certification in software engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Working knowledge of Java and willingness to perform hands-on coding.
- Exposure to distributed architectures involving large data volumes or real-time distribution.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps toolchains, and test-driven agile delivery.
- Experience or exposure to caching solutions such as Redis, Gemfire, or Apache Ignite and messaging solutions such as Kafka or IBM MQ is preferred.
- Understanding of microservices, REST APIs, databases, SQL, non-SQL stores, and event-based architecture.
- Exposure to Spring, AWS cloud services, trading systems, and the FIX protocol is preferred.
