Responsibilities

  • Lead AI initiatives end to end from concept and prototyping through production-ready solutions.
  • Shape technical direction, design choices, and implementation approaches for AI projects.
  • Build practical AI applications addressing business and client needs.
  • Develop reusable tools, patterns, and approaches for consistent AI delivery.
  • Apply prompt engineering, experimentation, evaluation, solution design, and agent workflow practices.
  • Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of production AI systems.
  • Collaborate with Dublin and international Innovation teams and broader engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to hackathons, the wider technology community, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering experience and senior-level technical judgment.
  • Experience building and delivering production-grade applications.
  • Deep hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Backend development experience with Node.js, NestJS, or similar technologies.
  • Experience using Python to build AI-powered workflows, integrations, or applications.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and integrating AI into real-world products and business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt design, tool use, structured outputs, and application orchestration.
  • Experience with RAG, retrieval pipelines, embeddings, and knowledge-grounded AI systems.
  • Familiarity with modern agent patterns, multi-step workflows, and tool-connected AI systems.
  • Understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure for deploying and scaling AI applications.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability for production AI applications.
  • Preferred experience taking AI products from experimentation through production use.
  • Preferred familiarity with Model Context Protocol and other emerging agent ecosystem standards.
  • Preferred knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, and scalable retrieval architectures.
  • Preferred experience with AI evaluation frameworks, testing approaches, and guardrails.
  • Track record of leading projects, mentoring others, and defining engineering best practices.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and cross-functional working skills.
