Responsibilities
- Lead AI initiatives end to end from concept and prototyping through production-ready solutions.
- Shape technical direction, design choices, and implementation approaches for AI projects.
- Build practical AI applications addressing business and client needs.
- Develop reusable tools, patterns, and approaches for consistent AI delivery.
- Apply prompt engineering, experimentation, evaluation, solution design, and agent workflow practices.
- Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of production AI systems.
- Collaborate with Dublin and international Innovation teams and broader engineering and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to hackathons, the wider technology community, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience and senior-level technical judgment.
- Experience building and delivering production-grade applications.
- Deep hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, including React, Vue, or Angular.
- Backend development experience with Node.js, NestJS, or similar technologies.
- Experience using Python to build AI-powered workflows, integrations, or applications.
- Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and integrating AI into real-world products and business processes.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, including prompt design, tool use, structured outputs, and application orchestration.
- Experience with RAG, retrieval pipelines, embeddings, and knowledge-grounded AI systems.
- Familiarity with modern agent patterns, multi-step workflows, and tool-connected AI systems.
- Understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, and infrastructure for deploying and scaling AI applications.
- Experience with monitoring and observability for production AI applications.
- Preferred experience taking AI products from experimentation through production use.
- Preferred familiarity with Model Context Protocol and other emerging agent ecosystem standards.
- Preferred knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, and scalable retrieval architectures.
- Preferred experience with AI evaluation frameworks, testing approaches, and guardrails.
- Track record of leading projects, mentoring others, and defining engineering best practices.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and cross-functional working skills.
