Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices for network security services.
- Build scalable, highly available, resilient distributed systems in containerized environments.
- Develop and optimize software components for network security products on Linux-based platforms.
- Collaborate with architects, product management, and engineering teams on technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Perform design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and automation.
- Troubleshoot distributed services, networking stacks, and production deployments.
- Analyze and optimize application performance, resource utilization, and system scalability.
- Participate in CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 8–12 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, NAT, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and HTTP/HTTPS.
- Experience designing and operating scalable microservices and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, service discovery, and container networking.
- Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, application identification, web filtering, and SSL/TLS inspection.
- Understanding of Layer 4–Layer 7 protocols and deep packet inspection.
- Experience with debugging, profiling, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
- Preferred experience includes NGFW development, control-plane and data-plane software, cloud-native network security platforms, service-oriented architectures, and DPDK.
