Base Salary
$217k - $325k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, standardize, implement, verify, validate, and commercialize cellular air-interface and modem technologies.
- Develop and optimize 5G/6G base-station Layer 1 modem PHY-layer software for ORAN-compliant products.
- Lead software architecture and internal interface design across modem subsystems, external interfaces, and end-to-end system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and high-level stakeholders to deliver high-performance wireless systems meeting customer and industry requirements.
- Own unit-level subsystem verification, including software performance and quality, and oversee platform and product integration.
- Write and review detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions, including documentation produced by other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 8+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree with 7+ years or a PhD with 6+ years.
- 8+ years of experience with computer architecture or embedded systems.
- 4+ years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
- At least 1 year of applicable wireless, semiconductor, and/or embedded software industry experience.
- Experience developing with Qualcomm QDSP6 and related scalar and vector DSP processors.
- Familiarity with hardware collaboration and 5G NR/LTE protocols.
- Knowledge of C, C++, Python, real-time operating systems, embedded systems, and multithreaded programming.
- Experience with embedded firmware design under constrained MIPS and memory, design for test and debug, and test-driven development is preferred.
