Responsibilities
- Define and implement software architecture and design patterns aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Evaluate tools, technologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality.
- Write high-quality, maintainable, scalable software and resolve complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and bugs.
- Lead by example through code reviews, quality assurance practices, technical leadership, and developer mentoring.
- Optimize software for performance, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with project managers, product owners, and stakeholders on requirements, scope, timelines, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Support delivery of the PDS project with minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience delivering multiple projects through the full software lifecycle.
- At least three years of experience as a lead developer.
- Active Secret clearance or current interim IAT Level II certification, including CompTIA Security+ or equivalent.
- Computing environment certification such as Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified Developer, or equivalent.
- Expertise with software architecture, design patterns, application development, web application development, APIs, database management, data modeling, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience with C#, Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, jQuery, Bootstrap, XML, JSON, CSS, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Identity Framework, Entity Framework, MVC, Blazor, Fluent UI, SQL Server, Git, and AWS cloud-native services.
- Familiarity with DISA application development STIGs and Department of Defense information assurance policies and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
