Base Salary

$230k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

Talk with customers to understand pain points and prioritize high-impact features.
Collaborate extensively with design to bring features to life.
Execute and ship product features end to end on a daily basis.
Provide customer support when necessary to deepen understanding of users.
Own Sphere’s customer experience and make it distinctive.
Own the feature and product roadmap in partnership with the CEO/founder.
Build more rigorous customer feedback and analysis processes to improve roadmap prioritization.

Strong experience with React is required because Sphere’s entire front end is built with it.
Strong experience with Figma is required for close collaboration with design.
Must be comfortable working directly with finance and tax leaders and highly focused on customer needs.
Very strong attention to detail is required because small errors can have outsized impact on financial and tax workflows.
Strong organizational skills are required to monitor, organize, and prioritize hundreds of feature requests.
Experience with large volumes of transaction data is preferred.
Experience with Python and Django is preferred because Sphere’s core backend and data pipeline services use them.
Experience with PostHog and Sentry is preferred.
Must be comfortable with ambiguity, high autonomy, end-to-end ownership, rapid execution, and working five days per week in San Francisco.

Full-time founding role on a small, early-stage team backed by a16z and Y Combinator.
Work arrangement is five days per week in the San Francisco office.
Opportunity to work directly with customers, design, engineering, and the CEO/founder.
Broad end-to-end ownership over customer experience, features, and product roadmap.
