Responsibilities
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the authentication security platform with engineering and product leadership.
- Design and build scalable, resilient authentication services, libraries, and APIs.
- Develop tools that improve code reliability and adoption of security services.
- Implement authentication standards and identity solutions including OIDC, SSO, SAML, and FIDO.
- Collaborate with support and engineering teams to resolve customer issues, fix bugs, and deliver features.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response for authentication services.
- Mentor engineers and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience leading technical initiatives, designing complex systems, and ensuring software scalability and maintainability.
- 7+ years of experience with object-oriented programming such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
- Deep understanding of resilient-service patterns including backpressure, idempotency, timeouts, and circuit breaking.
- Deep expertise in API development and microservices design and implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts and experience developing security, identity, authentication, or authorization solutions.
- Expertise with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
- Knowledge of Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server and other relational database technologies.
- Experience with Git, BitBucket, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
- Ability to write technical design documents and collaborate within a software development team.
