Responsibilities
- Deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions for critical business and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle and uphold engineering quality standards.
- Improve processes through simplification, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Own service performance, operational excellence, incident resolution, and reliable production services.
- Support the design and evolution of resilient enterprise architectures.
- Align solutions with security, governance, risk, and compliance requirements.
- Participate in peer reviews, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and innovation initiatives.
- Work with delivery and platform teams to enable efficient releases and reliable production operations.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale backend application solutions.
- Strong Java/J2EE expertise, object-oriented design knowledge, and enterprise application architecture experience.
- Proven experience designing and building RESTful services and microservices-based solutions.
- Strong experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, Kafka, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of frontend integration patterns and experience collaborating across UI and backend teams.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with engineering quality practices, automated testing, and test-driven delivery principles.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications in large-scale organizations.
- Awareness of AI-enabled development capabilities and commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience with GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Helm, SonarQube, Nexus, Artifactory, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Terraform, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, or Prometheus is advantageous.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, secure software development, operational resilience, Site Reliability Engineering concepts, and regulated financial-services environments is advantageous.
- Relevant cloud, DevOps, or engineering certifications are advantageous.
