Responsibilities
- Embed with retailers, brands, and agencies to scope problems and ship production-ready code against their data and systems.
- Prototype and test hypotheses quickly using working software.
- Build and integrate APIs, services, data pipelines, and user-facing workflows across dunnhumby, Kevel, and retailer environments.
- Own software end-to-end through release, deployment, monitoring, and live issue resolution.
- Convert field learning into product direction and identify repeatable patterns for productisation.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tooling and help shape team practices as the team grows.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering and system design experience with production experience in Python or a similar technology.
- Experience with APIs, microservices, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and large-scale data systems and pipelines.
- Ability to work across backend, data, and frontend development.
- Track record of customer-embedded or client-facing software delivery inside another organization’s environment.
- High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and accountability for deployed systems.
- Strong product judgment and ability to balance speed, quality, and maintainability.
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly to commercial, retailer, and partner audiences.
