Responsibilities
- Own major parts of the identity platform, including token introspection, external IdP federation, and audit-log pipelines, from design through production.
- Lead design reviews and establish technical direction, testing practices, and operational standards.
- Design scalable and secure identity, access-management, and auditing systems.
- Build and operate end-to-end services in Rust and Kotlin and applications in TypeScript.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer-success teams to shape product direction.
- Mentor engineers and improve code review, reliability, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of production experience in Rust or Kotlin, ideally in a SaaS product environment, with flexibility to learn the other language.
- Experience owning a business-critical production service through design, delivery, and operation.
- Deep interest or hands-on expertise in authorization, authentication, security, OAuth2/OIDC, tokens, and multi-tenancy.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud deployments using AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes.
- Experience using AI coding assistants and agents with sound judgment about verifying their output.
- Ability to resolve complex issues using logs, traces, and metrics, prioritize by impact, and communicate clearly across teams.
