Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build Java and Spring Boot services, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and Kafka-based event-driven integrations.
- Develop responsive and accessible frontend interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, and CSS.
- Design for performance, availability, observability, security, compliance, and international scalability.
- Write and automate unit and integration tests.
- Deploy and operate services on AWS using containers, infrastructure as code, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Apply hexagonal and layered architectural patterns.
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews, mentor less-experienced engineers, and improve engineering quality.
- Collaborate with product, UX, QE, and engineering teams in an Agile environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of related software engineering experience.
- Experience designing, building, and supporting production distributed microservices using Java or a comparable object-oriented language, Spring Boot, RESTful or GraphQL APIs, and Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
- Experience building and operating services on AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform.
- Strong SQL and relational database skills, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with automated unit and integration testing, Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, written, verbal, listening, collaboration, and technical ownership skills.
- Preferred: experience with Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, CSS, accessibility, NgRx, or micro-frontends.
- Preferred: experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or comparable AI-assisted software engineering tools.
- Preferred: experience with AWS EKS or ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, Terraform, Kubernetes, NoSQL databases, Spring Security, OAuth 2/OIDC, and regulated industries.
