Responsibilities
- Execute software design, development, technical troubleshooting, and production-code maintenance.
- Create secure, high-quality code and maintain algorithms that integrate with related systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure software meets design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems.
- Identify problems and data patterns that inform coding hygiene and system architecture improvements.
- Participate in software engineering communities of practice and emerging-technology events.
- Use enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, unit-test creation, and documentation while validating outputs through review, testing, and secure coding practices.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, automation capabilities, and responsible AI practices to improve engineering productivity and team effectiveness.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile development practices.
- Understanding of application resiliency, security, and software processes in a technical discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations, with the ability to guide peers.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies is preferred.
- Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
