Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient software code.
  • Drive technical strategy and vision for major projects and initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in designing, developing, and delivering complex software projects.
  • Architect and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performing software systems.
  • Prioritize technical debt and establish team policies, procedures, and engineering practices.
  • Monitor service health, analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
  • Advocate for engineering excellence and quality practices using the testing pyramid.
  • Oversee CI/CD build, test, and deployment activities and own software through production.
  • Build testable software, automate tests, and participate in testing activities.
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and advocate for appropriate innovation, including tools such as CoPilot.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience with .NET technologies.
  • Extensive experience with software architecture, design patterns, and scalable, reliable systems in a DevOps model.
  • Proven experience leading and delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
  • Proficiency with cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, and GCP, and version control systems such as GitHub.
  • Experience building telemetry or observability into the development process.
  • Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with developing accessible technologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in specialized technical disciplines and recognition as an expert in the technical area is preferred.
  • Understanding of business challenges, regulatory factors, and best practices is preferred.
