Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient software code.
- Drive technical strategy and vision for major projects and initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing, developing, and delivering complex software projects.
- Architect and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performing software systems.
- Prioritize technical debt and establish team policies, procedures, and engineering practices.
- Monitor service health, analyze incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence.
- Advocate for engineering excellence and quality practices using the testing pyramid.
- Oversee CI/CD build, test, and deployment activities and own software through production.
- Build testable software, automate tests, and participate in testing activities.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and advocate for appropriate innovation, including tools such as CoPilot.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience with .NET technologies.
- Extensive experience with software architecture, design patterns, and scalable, reliable systems in a DevOps model.
- Proven experience leading and delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
- Proficiency with cloud technologies including Azure, AWS, and GCP, and version control systems such as GitHub.
- Experience building telemetry or observability into the development process.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with developing accessible technologies is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in specialized technical disciplines and recognition as an expert in the technical area is preferred.
- Understanding of business challenges, regulatory factors, and best practices is preferred.
