Base Salary
$179k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions using languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvement.
- Mentor engineers and influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, excluding internships.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding in multiple listed programming languages, 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies, and 4+ years contributing to open source frameworks.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with front-end frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, and observability.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AI-based coding tools, mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering initiatives, and enforcing coding standards and design patterns.
