Responsibilities
- Designs, writes, validates, and maintains clinical programming software using Medidata Rave and related tools.
- Develops and maintains specifications, database builds, eCRFs, coding configurations, edit checks, migrations, imports, exports, listings, and custom reports.
- Leads clinical programming activities across three to ten concurrent studies and coordinates development work with project teams.
- Provides application administration, technical support, second-tier help desk support, system integration, application updates, and user acceptance testing.
- Performs senior reviews of study-level, program-level, and multi-study deliverables for accuracy and quality.
- Supports sponsor audits, monitors scope and budgets, prepares and executes change orders, and escalates delivery or resourcing risks.
- Provides leadership, training, guidance, and technical support to clinical programmers, project analysts, data managers, and other department members.
- Collaborates with clients, programmers, project teams, and requestors to clarify specifications and meet evolving project needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in clinical programming.
- End-to-end clinical programming experience in Medidata Rave, including study/database builds, eCRF builds, edit-check programming, migrations, custom functions, and study leadership.
- At least two years of Custom Function experience.
- Experience with amendments and publishing checks and migrations is required; protocol interpretation experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, matrix-structured environment and communicate effectively with sponsors and internal customers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with email and voicemail tools.
- Experience with PL/SQL, SAS, C#, or VB is preferred.
- Ability to travel as necessary, up to 25%.
