Base Salary
$92k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, debug, and troubleshoot high-volume mainframe business logic.
- Monitor architecture and optimize code to maintain and improve mainframe performance.
- Extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services.
- Support modernization efforts that enable cloud and mobile applications to interact with mainframe data.
- Analyze complex system interactions and develop scalable, robust software.
Requirements
- Experience working as a software engineer on complex software projects.
- Strong coding and development experience with Java, Python, .NET, or comparable technologies.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML, JSON, and REST-based web services.
- Knowledge of architecture design, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging queues.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with DevOps tools, modern engineering practices, or certifications in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
