Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale distributed and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while driving professional development.
- Establish coding standards, design patterns, observability, and reliability practices across teams.
- Lead architectural design reviews, cross-functional engineering efforts, and large-scale technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and 5+ years with open-source frameworks and front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, observability, performance optimization, reliability practices, architectural reviews, coding standards, AI-based coding tools, technology strategy, and large-scale technical initiatives.
