Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, reusable, testable code that expands the platform’s core services and improves scalability and resilience.
- Identify and troubleshoot performance and code-quality issues.
- Own engineering initiatives and promote continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Security Engineering, other engineers, and external partners to define and deliver solutions.
- Participate in requirements, design, coding, test automation, debugging, and other stages of software development.
- Perform code reviews and ensure coding best practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support production deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Two to ten years of experience in software engineering.
- High proficiency with Unix/Linux platforms.
- Working experience with Python, Docker, Kafka, and Redis or Valkey.
- Understanding of software architecture and high-performance, scalable distributed systems.
- Knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability, and scalability concepts.
- Strong DevOps experience, including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams.
- Preferred experience with Redis, PostgreSQL, Kafka, OpenSearch, AWS cloud solutions, MSK, and Aurora.
- Strong foundation in Linux file systems, memory, and multithreading.
- Experience maintaining a large number of production deployments.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, networking, databases, servers, and storage.
