Responsibilities
- Partner with teams and solution architects to understand business requirements, resolve issues, and align solutions.
- Guide architecture and engineering teams in reusable patterns and modern approaches involving events, DevOps, cloud, microservices, and data pipelines.
- Design container-based solutions on Kubernetes and Azure AKS, including Kubernetes cluster architectures.
- Lead architecture frameworks, technology-domain strategies, policies, principles, standards, and governance.
- Define development specifications, technical requirements, performance objectives, and required system modifications.
- Research requirements and recommend optimal architecture solutions, including buy, build, reuse, and emerging technology options.
- Serve as a senior technical expert on high-risk, complex initiatives and advise business and technology stakeholders.
- Influence vendors and contribute to third-party product design and contract negotiations.
- Build consensus and facilitate collaboration so technology strategy aligns with the architecture framework.
- Lead knowledge-transfer sessions with senior management, technical teams, and business units.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate; graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with events, microservices, containers, cloud-native architectures, API gateways, and REST APIs.
- Experience with microservice orchestration frameworks and technologies such as Camunda and FluxNova.
- Core banking product experience involving ledgers, Finacle, DDA, term deposits, and credit products.
- Experience with Azure, Databricks, Unity, data modeling, Kafka, and data platforms.
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, architecture consulting, governance, and direction of larger teams.
- Advanced knowledge of applications, programming languages, infrastructure, architectural design, solutions, standards, and governance.
- Ability to work autonomously as an architectural specialist on high-profile, complex, and high-risk technology projects.
Benefits
- Base salary of $149,500-$177,000 CAD plus eligibility for discretionary variable compensation.
