Responsibilities
- Work with teams and solution architects to understand business problems, requirements, issue resolution, and solution alignment.
- Guide architecture and engineering teams in defining reusable patterns and applying modern architectural approaches.
- Design container-based solutions on Kubernetes and Azure AKS, including Kubernetes cluster architecture.
- Lead the development and governance of architecture frameworks, technology strategies, policies, principles, and standards.
- Define development specifications, technical requirements, system performance objectives, and required system modifications.
- Research, recommend, source, negotiate, and implement emerging technology solutions and improvements.
- Analyze business requirements and recommend optimal architecture solutions for high-risk and complex initiatives.
- Advise business units and technology departments on system architecture, technology choices, ownership costs, and risk reduction.
- Influence vendors on product design and contribute to third-party contract negotiations where applicable.
- Build consensus and facilitate collaboration and decision-making across business units and technology teams.
- Lead knowledge-transfer meetings with senior management, technical teams, and business units.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or technical certificate required; graduate degree preferred.
- 10 or more years of relevant experience.
- Experience with event-driven patterns, microservices, containers, cloud-native architectures, API gateways, and REST APIs.
- Experience with microservice orchestration frameworks and technologies such as Camunda and FluxNova.
- Core banking product experience, including ledgers, Finacle, DDA, term deposits, and credit products.
- Working experience with Azure data platforms, Databricks, Unity, data modeling, and Kafka.
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, consulting, and architectural direction to larger teams.
- Advanced knowledge of applications, programming languages, industry practices, infrastructure, architecture, technology tools, processes, and governance.
- Ability to work autonomously as a technical architecture specialist on high-profile, complex, and high-risk projects.
- Ability to influence product direction, integrate technology from an architectural perspective, and fulfill an IT governance role.
- Ability to serve as a top technical expert across specific domains or broad architecture frameworks and technologies.
