Responsibilities
- Design and implement product features end to end.
- Work on Ashby’s most challenging design problems.
- Expand and enhance the in-house design system and build flexible, composable components.
- Consult with Product Engineers on bespoke design work and improve information hierarchy and scannability.
- Research problems, write product specifications, build wireframes, and implement solutions.
- Ship quickly, gather feedback from users and customers, and iterate on released work.
- Own projects with minimal process while communicating deliberately and collaborating across the team.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of continuous industry experience as a designer or engineer; internships do not count.
- Good proficiency in both design and engineering, with exceptional proficiency in the discipline practiced full time.
- Experience designing products and shipping code to hundreds of users, including through side projects.
- Excellent visual design taste and execution across UI and UX.
- At minimum, good proficiency with TypeScript, React, and CSS.
- Backend technology proficiency is a plus.
