Responsibilities
- Lead software design and implementation for high-performance Linux-based embedded systems.
- Perform requirements analysis, coding, integration, debugging, and testing to improve software quality and performance.
- Develop and optimize Linux kernel solutions, device drivers, and board support packages for real-time embedded systems.
- Manage configuration processes using Clearcase and Clearquest for version control and traceability.
- Collaborate with developers, integrators, method experts, customers, and industry partners on software interfaces, standardization, wireless protocols, and RFNTP client/protocol work.
- Use scripting to automate processes and improve efficiency in embedded Linux environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in the embedded domain with C/C++ and ARM environments.
- Experience designing and developing Linux kernel solutions for real-time embedded systems.
- Experience enhancing Linux device drivers and board support packages for RISC processors.
- Experience optimizing kernels to improve performance and reduce resource utilization in real-time applications.
- Scripting skills and experience working with telecommunications technologies are preferred.
- Experience engaging with industry partners such as Qualcomm is preferred.
