Responsibilities

Own backend solutions end to end, from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and production operations.
Design and evolve services for performance, scale, resilience, and data integrity.
Make technical decisions while evaluating constraints, alternatives, and trade-offs.
Maintain code and systems as products and requirements evolve.
Diagnose difficult production problems, address root causes, and prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with product and engineering colleagues to create simple, durable solutions.
Review work, share knowledge, and raise engineering standards across the team.

Proven ownership of backend services built and operated within a microservices architecture.
Strong understanding of HTTP, WebSockets, and AMQP communication protocols and their appropriate use cases.
Production fluency in at least one modern backend framework.
Deep knowledge of relational databases, including indexing, transactions, isolation levels, locking mechanisms, and high-performance design.
Experience designing systems for high availability, scalability, and resilience.
Clear, structured problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs.
Strong engineering fundamentals, sound judgment, and confidence learning unfamiliar technologies.
