Base Salary

$143k - $297k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end architecture and solution design for enterprise commerce transformations.
  • Translate business objectives and complex technical concepts into scalable technology solutions and recommendations.
  • Lead client workshops, architecture reviews, solution design sessions, pursuits, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Guide platform selection, integration strategy, architecture governance, and technical decisions across commerce ecosystems.
  • Support proposals, RFP responses, statements of work, estimates, staffing approaches, business cases, delivery plans, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with experience, strategy, product, data, AI, and engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, architectural oversight, risk management, and governance throughout delivery.
  • Mentor technical teams and contribute to the growth of the commerce architecture practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 9 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise commerce solutions in consulting, digital agency, or complex client environments.
  • Experience as a Technical Architect or in a comparable technology leadership role.
  • Deep implementation experience with at least one leading commerce platform, including Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce/Magento, Shopify/Shopify Plus, commercetools, SAP Commerce Cloud, or another enterprise commerce platform.
  • Experience working across multiple commerce platforms or adapting architecture expertise across different commerce ecosystems.
  • Experience designing integrations across ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, CMS, CDP, payment, tax, search, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience with API-led, headless, and composable commerce architectures.
  • Experience leading client-facing workshops, solution design sessions, architecture reviews, technical teams, and cross-functional delivery workstreams.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, problem-solving, client engagement, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel according to client and engagement needs.
  • Preferred qualifications include architecture or implementation certifications for Salesforce, Adobe, Shopify, commercetools, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; experience with omnichannel commerce, marketplaces, subscriptions, loyalty, internationalization, multi-brand commerce, AI and automation, architecture governance, MACH principles, cloud-native architecture, and modern integration strategies.
