Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy Salesforce Experience Cloud customer portals, partner communities, employee hubs, and self-service sites using LWR and Aura-based templates.
  • Develop responsive, accessible Lightning Web Components and Aura components for Experience Cloud pages.
  • Implement branded digital experiences using Experience Builder, custom themes, CSS, design system tokens, navigation, layouts, audience targeting, content management, and SEO settings.
  • Configure authentication and access controls including guest access, login flows, self-registration, SSO/OAuth, and community membership models.
  • Build secure data-driven components exposing CRM data, Salesforce Knowledge, cases, orders, accounts, and knowledge articles to external users.
  • Develop integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs, named credentials, and platform events.
  • Apply security practices including guest profile hardening, sharing rules, CRUD/FLS enforcement, and OWASP-aligned secure coding.
  • Partner with DevOps teams on version control and CI/CD deployment of Experience Cloud components and configurations.
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote Experience Cloud development standards.
  • Monitor performance, analytics, and engagement metrics and resolve usability or performance issues.
  • Evaluate Salesforce releases and new Experience Cloud, LWR, Salesforce CMS, and Digital Experiences capabilities.
  • Create technical documentation including solution designs, component libraries, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and lead moderately complex to complex engineering work independently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, web development, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of Salesforce development experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on Salesforce Experience Cloud or Community Cloud experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, application development, platform engineering, or a related field is also stated in the posting.
  • Proficiency with Lightning Web Components, Aura components, Apex, SOQL, Flow, and Process Builder.
  • Strong Experience Builder experience including theme customization, page layouts, branding sets, and audience-based personalization.
  • Knowledge of Experience Cloud security, guest profiles, sharing rules, community membership, login flows, and external-user licensing.
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript within the Salesforce platform.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce CMS and Experience Cloud content management.
  • Familiarity with SSO, OAuth 2.0, and SAML authentication protocols.
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, Git-based version control, deployment practices, development frameworks, testing tools, CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration platforms.
  • Active Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I certification.
  • Knowledge of software and systems engineering, application architecture, integration patterns, debugging, performance, reliability, scalability, resilience, observability, secure design, and production support.
  • Ability to perform coding or configuration, technical design, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, and structured problem solving.
  • Ability to influence technical direction, guide design decisions, communicate risks and dependencies, mentor less experienced engineers, and drive engineering best practices.
  • Preferred qualifications include Salesforce Experience Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer II, Salesforce Application Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, or RHCSA certifications.
  • Preferred experience includes LWR and Enhanced LWR sites, Salesforce CMS Connect, headless CMS integrations, CRM Analytics dashboards, Salesforce Order Management, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, CDN and caching strategies, A/B testing, personalization, and healthcare or life sciences portals.
