Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices for Nevis’ platform.
- Design and evolve distributed systems for automation and client operations.
- Develop clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Java 17/21.
- Own greenfield development and improve existing systems.
- Ensure system reliability and performance through monitoring.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship impactful features.
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning.
Requirements
- 6+ years’ experience in backend engineering and distributed systems.
- Strong fluency in Java with knowledge of backend design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with microservice architecture and APIs.
- Solid foundation in computer science or related fields.
- Comfortable working in cloud environments like AWS.
- Fast learner with a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English and adaptable to a high-growth environment.
