L4 Software Developer
TELUS DigitalResponsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise applications using Java and Google Cloud Platform.
- Analyze and modernize legacy applications, including Oracle stored procedures and Informatica PowerCenter workflows.
- Design and develop scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud-native technologies.
- Build and optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, and cloud-based data solutions.
- Develop and maintain GCP applications using Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Composer.
- Provision and manage GCP projects, IAM, networking, logging, and storage infrastructure.
- Build Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Maven.
- Configure secure connectivity across enterprise environments, including VPC networking and SAP Callidus integrations.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude to improve productivity and code quality.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, code reviews, and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development experience with Java-based enterprise applications.
- Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and complex query development.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and GCP infrastructure, IAM, networking, and security.
- Strong programming experience with Java, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience with BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, Cloud Composer, Google Cloud Storage, and Cloud Logging.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and enterprise Java frameworks.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Maven.
- Hands-on Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience with Git and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to independently assess and modernize legacy systems.
- Preferred experience with Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle PL/SQL and stored procedures, SAP Callidus integrations, Angular, Shell scripting, Kubernetes, containerized deployments, enterprise modernization, cloud migration, and AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude.
