Base Salary

$191k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of LLM agents, real-time anomaly detectors, and other AI/ML solutions for payment products.
  • Design, train, deploy, and operate production AI applications across batch and streaming workloads.
  • Build low-latency, highly reliable services with automated monitoring, retraining triggers, and continuous improvement loops.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and data science teams to define requirements, choose architectures, and measure business value.
  • Establish technical standards for model governance, drift monitoring, cost and latency monitoring, online/offline testing, and engineering excellence.
  • Mentor and inspire teammates while contributing to an experimentation-driven engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience in applied AI/ML, with an MS or PhD in a relevant field.
  • Strong programming and data engineering skills using Python or Java.
  • Expertise in prompt engineering, fine-tuning, LoRA, RLHF, hallucination mitigation, safety guardrails, and online/offline testing.
  • Hands-on experience with at least three of PyTorch, TensorFlow, scalable inference stacks, vector search, Kubeflow, Airflow, Spark, Ray, and Kafka.
  • Demonstrated success designing, deploying, and monitoring production AI systems such as personalization engines or generative content services.
  • Experience implementing drift, cost, and latency monitoring, automated retraining triggers, and cross-functional delivery of measurable AI impact.
  • Prior AI/ML applications experience in the payments domain is highly desirable.
