Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business and user needs.
- Perform feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology activities, application development, and model development.
- Monitor and control application development through analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and operational support.
- Analyze complex application and business process issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and assess system usage, functionality, and design.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and install or support application systems.
- Define operating standards and processes, follow required procedures, and support compliance and risk controls.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new and lower-level analysts and act as a subject matter expert for stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Python, PySpark, Scala, the Big Data ecosystem, and Unix shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Kafka, and real-time streaming and processing.
- Strong knowledge of data warehouses and data marts.
- Exposure to Snowflake and Databricks on AWS and GCP.
- Experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
