Base Salary
$164k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Oversee 2nd- and 3rd-level incident and problem resolution across production and development environments.
- Support software maintenance releases and direct new client implementations on IBM z/OS390.
- Lead testing and certification for new DPS software and client integrations.
- Design automation solutions, monitor performance, and recommend enhancements for mainframe operations.
- Coordinate on-call support, disaster recovery planning, compliance activities, documentation, and audit readiness for critical mainframe applications.
- Provide technical guidance, mentor team members, and act as the primary escalation point for complex problems.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, 7 years with an advanced degree, 4 years with a PhD, or 13 years of relevant experience without the stated degree requirement.
- 12–15 years of support or development experience with IBM z/OS390 and Connex Advantage clearing and settlement batch applications.
- 12–15 years of support or development experience with COBOL/JCL and FILE-AID.
- 12–15 years of knowledge in EFT settlement and transaction processing.
- 12–15 years of experience with ESP, Control-M, or CA7 scheduling software and FTP/SSL, FTP/SSH, or NDM over SSL/TLS transmission methods.
- A computer science degree or equivalent practical experience in data processing.
- Experience with configuration automation is preferred; REXX and ISPF Dialog Manager experience are additional pluses.
- Hands-on AI and LLM knowledge, particularly for integrating AI-driven solutions with legacy mainframe environments, is desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent-working, multitasking, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
