Responsibilities
- Improve the availability, scalability, performance, and reliability of Acceldata products and customer data lake environments.
- Support implementation, troubleshooting, stabilization, and tuning of Hadoop data lake clusters under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Provide technical support for Hadoop clusters across multiple data centers.
- Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, applications, and networks.
- Work alongside experienced SREs and respond to customer concerns in a supportive and empathetic manner.
- Participate in rotational shifts and support operations in a 24/7 environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with distributed systems, cloud environments, or data management services is preferred.
- Good understanding of Hadoop technologies, including HDFS, YARN, and Hive/Impala.
- Working knowledge of Kafka, NiFi, Ambari, and Cloudera Manager.
- Experience configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting Red Hat and Debian-based Linux distributions.
- Exposure to data security and data engineering principles in Hadoop environments is a plus.
- Ability to support customer operations and adjust working hours for rotational coverage.
