Base Salary
$140k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients on strategic business solution decisions and enterprise-scale future-state architectures.
- Lead development teams and ensure the integrity of technical designs and features.
- Audit and document existing architectures and ecosystems, identifying gaps, pain points, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide project scope and development timeline estimates and facilitate backlog creation, maintenance, and planning.
- Advise clients on best practices for enterprise web and software applications, platforms, design patterns, and solution practices.
- Define API specifications, including preferably through Swagger, and support enterprise architecture, middleware, and data-flow diagramming.
- Mentor junior team members and maintain productive relationships with clients, developers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect with broad and deep architectural experience.
- At least 7 years of enterprise-scale software development design and implementation experience.
- Deep knowledge in at least two of cloud computing, cloud-native development, application development, and middleware.
- Proven Azure or AWS expertise; proficiency in both is highly advantageous.
- Familiarity with enterprise patterns and principles including Microservices, EDA, DDD, and N-Tiers.
- Experience with modern API design patterns and principles, enterprise architecture, middleware, and data-flow diagramming.
- Proficiency with SQL, Service Bus or Message Queue, Caching, ESB, and ETL.
- Understanding of object-oriented principles including interfaces, composition, and polymorphism.
- Understanding of AI tools and models and how they can accelerate job responsibilities.
- Strong analytical, technical, leadership, communication, facilitation, negotiation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with outsourced and in-house developers and lead clients through enterprise architecture design and implementation.
- Consulting or client-facing experience, open-source contributions or public repositories such as GitHub or GitLab, and experience at a digital or creative agency are preferred.
- A work sample is required at the time of application.
