Responsibilities
- Serve as the team’s technical lead for architecture, project oversight, and engineering decisions.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across customer environments and geographies.
- Design and implement automated builds, testing, deployment, rollback strategies, quality gates, and validation frameworks.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows for cloud-based services.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and assist with root-cause analysis.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and vSphere environments.
- Create runbooks and documentation for internal teams and end users.
- Ensure security and regulatory compliance during deployments.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, customer support, and product teams to ensure release readiness and quality delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to intra-team and cross-team planning and process improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Strong experience building production-grade applications across frontend and backend technologies, with proficiency in Go or Python; React is a bonus.
- Experience designing REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or GCP, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools.
- Strong AWS experience including EC2, ECS, cloud networking, VPCs, subnetting, routing, CDNs, load balancers, and security groups, plus experience with Azure.
- Experience with CI/CD, build systems, release automation, orchestration frameworks, and code quality or security tooling.
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, messaging technologies, system design, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Experience with deployment plans, release plans, MOPs, rollback procedures, large-scale software releases, and Agile/Scrum team leadership.
- Proficiency across Windows, Linux, and macOS and Intel and ARM platforms.
- Cybersecurity experience is required.
- Experience debugging network or endpoint logs, deploying cloud-based or endpoint software, and using monitoring or observability platforms is preferred.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude or Copilot for development, debugging, research, and testing is required.
