Responsibilities
- Act as the team’s technical lead for system design, architecture, and project oversight.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across customer environments and geographies.
- Design and implement automated builds, testing, deployment, rollback strategies, quality gates, and validation frameworks.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows for cloud-based services.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and vSphere environments.
- Troubleshoot deployment issues and assist with root cause analysis.
- Create runbooks and documentation for internal teams and end users.
- Ensure security and regulatory compliance during deployments.
- Evaluate technologies, improve team processes through automation, and mentor junior engineers.
- Coordinate planning across teams and collaborate with software development, QA, customer support, and product teams.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a full-stack software engineer.
- Strong production application development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
- Proficiency in Go or Python, with React listed as a bonus.
- Experience designing REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS or GCP, infrastructure as code, and configuration management tools.
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2 and ECS, cloud networking, Azure services, and vSphere.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, build systems, release automation, orchestration, and code quality tooling.
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong system design, debugging, performance optimization, release planning, and rollback procedure skills.
- Experience leading technical initiatives, Agile/Scrum teams, and large-scale or enterprise software releases.
- Experience across Windows, Linux, and macOS platforms and Intel and ARM architectures.
- Preferred experience includes debugging network or endpoint device logs, deploying cloud and endpoint software, and using monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, or Datadog.
