Responsibilities
- Own technical strategy and system architecture for high-availability microservices and data pipelines.
- Build, optimize, and maintain Java server-side applications using Spring, reactive programming, APIs, and messaging systems.
- Architect and deploy workloads on AWS using Kubernetes and managed compute, storage, database, and integration services.
- Lead technical direction, mentorship, code reviews, and architecture reviews across multiple engineering teams.
- Ensure designs meet information security, PII protection, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines and enforce observability, logging, performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence standards.
- Report to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements
- B.Tech, B.S., M.S., or MCA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience building scalable, distributed cloud systems.
- At least 2+ years leading engineering teams or complex engineering plans.
- Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, reactive programming, AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and API Gateway.
- Experience managing PII, high-frequency transactions, credit or financial data pipelines, or security-sensitive microservices.
- Experience integrating generative AI or LLMs through Amazon Bedrock or custom model pipelines.
- Exposure to multi-language backends such as Go alongside Java.
- Knowledge of FinTech, identity fraud detection, real-time payment networks, or credit risk analytics.
